The Entrepreneurial Free Agent and Dejobbed Small Business R&D Lab The Master Webring of the Nanocorps is a showcase for entrepreneurial free agents and their portfolios of dejobbed small businesses and dynamic projects. Each member of the Master Webring of the Nanocorps embraces all of the elements of the nanocorp business model described below: Business Model: A nanocorp is developed and managed as a diversified, multi-national corporate conglomerate writ extremely small. Each nanocorp is a primary 'holding company' web business with at least 3 diversified 'portfolio' web businesses. Portfolio businesses can be a mix of for-profit, not-for-profit, and/or open-community businesses as well as temporary dejobbed virtual companies. Ownership: The nanocorp is owned by an 'inseparable unit' (single person, couple, nuclear family). The nanocorp's portfolio businesses can be wholly owned by the nanocorp, jointly owned by more than one nanocorp, or jointly owned by an elastic network of nanocorps and entrepreneurial free agents. Nanocorps and their portfolio businesses are all dejobbed, collaboration workspaces. Growth Policy: A nanocorp's 'inseparable unit' owner/founder is forever its only employees. A nanocorp is ruthlessly committed to non-accretive growth. Growth occurs only through replication and/or transformation. Open Book Business: A nanocorp is committed to an open book model of business. A nanocorp shares ideas, not owns them. Nanocorps and their portfolio businesses are all dejobbed, collaboration workspaces. Quality of Life: Quality of life is of more important than wealth production. What you do and how you do it is more important than how quickly you can generate wealth or how much you can generate. Nanocorps operate consistently as good stewards of Spaceship Earth.
